Refund policy

We understand that your TBR may be long and it may be difficult to remember exactly what you have on the shelf.

So, for in-store, mobile store, or pop-event purchases, if you get home and you have the book after all, bring it back within 48 hours and we will gladly exchange it or issue you a store credit.  For online purchases, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt via email (smittenbooktique@gmail.com) and we will coordinate the return.

For all other products purchased in-store, mobile store, or at a pop-event, you may bring back your item in new and unused condition within 7 days for a full refund.  After that we’ll exchange the product or issue you a store credit up to 30 days after purchase.

Online, non-book purchases may be returned by requesting a return within 7 days of receipt for full refund.  Refunds will be issued upon receipt of the product in its original, unused, undamaged condition.  After 7 days returns can be processed for store credit up to 30 days after delivery.

If you’re considering a gift, and you’re unsure if the recipient has the book title, a gift card may be more appropriate and less risky.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we’re unable to return food products such as teas, or other drinks or snacks.

Likewise, all sales are final on Blind Date books, Last Chance items, and gift cards.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
